 Astrophotography - CCD Imaging | 2003 - No2

M63 and M94

Last Update: 15 March 2003

Here are the first images with the AlphaMini. I am very satisfied with the result, as it was just after Quartermoon and very bright already. I converted the images with CCD_COND (from A.Wulff) to FITS. at first I enlarged the size from 385*290 pixel by factor 2. Then I used IRIS 3.80 for registration and stacking. Final touch I made with AIP4WIN with resizing to 70% and slight DDP.

I selected the images manually. This time I exposed 120 sec per image. I will continue so until I have some sort of autoguiding, what is to be my next project. Sky background in this case should have allowed 300 sec.
