First deepsky image with the Celestron C8 and NIKON D70 combination. Focus was poor as you can see inside the inset field. I also hampered around with the Radial Guider, which I used the first time too.

• Camera: NIKON D70 Digital SLR
• Instrument: Celestron C8 Orange + Radial Guider + 0,65 Focal Reducer
• Date: 08 October 2004 18.44 UT (20.44h MESZ)
• Exposure: 1 * 621 sec.
• Mode: JPG fine resolution (NOT RAW !!)
• ISO: 1000
• INFO: Single Image with dark frame subtraction.

Here is a collection of 3 dark field crops from the original. I made the images after my photosession. The first image was taken outside when the camera was cold. The second began 20 min after the end of the first when the camera was already inside the warm house. Note the increase of noise !! The third image is a 10 min exposure with NOISE REDUCTION = ON. CLEAN !!
