22 January 2005 Saturn and Moon

by Christoph Petermann

Today: Saturn and Moon

This time I took the C8 on my GP mount out for WebCam imaging of Saturn and Moon. For the first time ever I checked collimation on a medium bright star. I had to learn how to handle this and I was quite successful. While the Saturn images below were made with an Ortho eyepiece (18mm Celestron), I took a 25mm Plössl (noname) for the Schröter valley. This eyepiece seems to be much better. Image treatment was made with IRIS and ImagesPlus 2.10
